As a sophomore enjoyed a successful campaign securing both All-Area and All-League honors. Johnson registered 51 tackles, 8 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

In a 2010 Nike football combine in Philadelphia, he was listed as the 3rd best defensive player on the all-combine team.
