Merritt finished out the year with 54 tackles, two interceptions, two tackles for a loss, and "a whole lot of pass breakups." As a wideout, he hauled in 19 receptions for 218 yards. He also shined on special teams, returning two kickoffs for touchdowns. Merritt even saw some time at tailback, where he ran for 290 yards on 27 attempts with three touchdowns. The standout cornerback's versatility should serve him well at the next level.
