Kashann Simmons: Top NJ Athletes
Dec 3, 2009 | By: Guest Blogger
This installment was primarily skilled players. Stay tuned for the next blog when I will feature some of the top lineman for 2011.
Aamad Busch (Montclair) – The 6’3" 195lbs S/WR is one of my sleepers for the 2011 class. This kid is under the radar but had some break out games this year. He is an aggressive player that makes plays on both sides of the ball. He is the equivalent to Eric Williams from Pennsbury who didn’t get a lot of attention until he came to the Badger Sport Skills Pass camp, at Rutgers university, and was one of the top performers there. I feel Busch will follow the same recruiting path.
Tanner McEvoy (Bergen Catholic) - Tanner is probably the most athletic 2011 prospect that I have seen. Standing at 6’5 200lbs he has deceptive speed and is able to use his 6’5" frame to make plays on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. He had a huge showing at the Badger Sports Passing Camp at Rutgers last year as a sophomore and look for him to dominate the camp this year.
Sheldon Royster (St.Peters Prep) – The 6’0 190lb Royster is a player at the safety position. He has speed and range. This past Saturday at the semi-final game against Bergen Catholic, Royster had displayed his speed and range. He is able to cover in space as well as coming down in the box for run support. My prediction for Royster is that he will be one of the top recruits coming out of New Jersey in 2011.
Today I want to talk about the "Simmons Sensations" for the class of 2011. There are a few prospects that have caught my eye in New Jersey.
